Lacquer Painting: A Passion for Tradition
I have a deep love for traditional materials and never grow weary of the meticulous process that lacquer painting demands. From carefully placing fragments of eggshells and seashells to layering colors, waiting days for each layer to dry, and then repeating steps—all of it brings me joy. The process of painting and then polishing, revealing layers of color that unfold the story within the artwork, gives me immense satisfaction and fulfills my passion.
Each painting consists of multiple overlapping layers, holding hidden meanings within them. When someone asks what my paintings represent, I often refrain from answering. Instead, I invite the viewer to immerse themselves in the artwork and discover their own emotional pathway—a personal way of naming the emotions it evokes.
